It was a chance to check up on your health as the Cayman Islands Cancer Society staged its third-annual Sister Islands Cancer Awareness Symposium Saturday in the Brac.
The day – which kicked off with a fundraising walk/run – featured a series of lectures and health checks along with prize draws for participants.
Guest speakers from Faith Hospital and the cancer society gave presentations on prostate and cervical cancer screenings and breast cancer.
Visitors took advantage of free health screenings including blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose checks. Vouchers for free mammograms, Pap smears and PSAs were available. Free faecal occult blood tests were also available as part of the cancer society’s awareness campaign on colorectal cancer.
