Mr. Anthony Partridge was recently admitted as an attorney-at-law by Mr. Justice Alex Henderson in the Grand Court. The application for admission was made by Mr. Diarmad Murray, a Partner in the Litigation Department at Walkers.
Mr. Partridge graduated from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane, Australia with a Bachelor of Arts (Humanities) and Bachelor of Laws in 2001. He then completed his Articles at the Brisbane City boutique law firm, Praeger Batt and was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia in early 2003.
Later that year Mr. Partridge joined the Brisbane office of Minter Ellison, one of the largest law firms in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
During his time at Minter Ellison, Mr. Partridge was part of the Revenue & Estates Group where he practised exclusively in the areas of wills, powers of attorney, probate, estate planning, administration and litigation, trusts and structuring.
Mr. Partridge is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and has obtained the post graduate qualification of Graduate Certificate in Law also from QUT, Brisbane in Estate Planning and associated areas of law.
Mr. Partridge joins Walkers’ International Private Trusts Group, where he will specialise in all aspects of private and commercial trust work, estate planning and succession. Mr. Murray said that the partners were delighted to welcome Mr. Partridge to the firm.
Mr. Justice Henderson welcomed Mr. Partridge to professional practice in the Cayman Islands and wished him well in his future career.
