The RCIP is continuing with its ‘relentless’ campaign, arresting a number of people for various offences over the weekend.
Arrests include the following:
• A 41-year-old man on suspicion of possession and consumption of ganja
• A 29-year-old man on suspicion of possession and consumption of ganja
• A 32-year-old man on suspicion of possession of ganja
• A 25-year-old man on suspicion of possession of ganja
• A 45-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol
• A 27-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol
• A 34-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident and failing to report an accident
• A 20-year-old man on suspicion of evading custom duty
• A 51-year-old woman on suspicion of assault.
BT roadblock
A roadblock was also carried out on Friday evening in the Bodden Town area which resulted in the following:
• Expired registration – 10
• No certificate of roadworthiness – 4
• No insurance – 3
• Using coupon with intent to deceive – 1
• Using a license plate with intent to deceive – 1
• Driving without being licensed – 1
• Traffic tickets issued.
