Police remain ‘relentless’

The RCIP is continuing with its ‘relentless’ campaign, arresting a number of people for various offences over the weekend.

Arrests include the following:

A 41-year-old man on suspicion of possession and consumption of ganja

A 29-year-old man on suspicion of possession and consumption of ganja

A 32-year-old man on suspicion of possession of ganja

A 25-year-old man on suspicion of possession of ganja

A 45-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol

A 27-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol

A 34-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident and failing to report an accident

A 20-year-old man on suspicion of evading custom duty

A 51-year-old woman on suspicion of assault.

BT roadblock

A roadblock was also carried out on Friday evening in the Bodden Town area which resulted in the following:

Expired registration – 10

No certificate of roadworthiness – 4

No insurance – 3

Using coupon with intent to deceive – 1

Using a license plate with intent to deceive – 1

Driving without being licensed – 1

Traffic tickets issued.
