The new face of Butterfield Bank (Cayman) Limited has been making his way around the island recently in the form of an orange dragon named Vern.

As part of Butterfield Online’s 5th anniversary, Vern will be visiting the Bank’s branches on Fridays in June and July and handing out mouse pads and pens to customers, said a bank press release.

In addition, the bank is giving away an Eastern Caribbean cruise for two this summer. The contest is open to all Butterfield Online users and runs until 31 July. To be eligible to win, users must log in to the service at least once during this period for their chance to win.

Butterfield Online offers ease and convenience to users who can check their balances on accounts, review transaction history and complete internal transfers. They can also order bank drafts, fixed deposits and wire transfers, pay their utility bills and so much more.

New features are continuously being introduced to Butterfield Online. Most recently, users have the option to utilize the export activity option, which allows them to export all the fields on the detailed transactions screen into a spreadsheet or Microsoft Money format. A user maintenance option is also available now. This enhancement allows the account administrator for corporate accounts to reset all the sub-users’ passwords and secret codes.

Butterfield Online uses the highest level of security encryption commercially available. It is free to sign up and most transactions cost less than conventional paper transactions.
