Appleby names new managing director

Appleby Trust (Cayman) Ltd. has named Mr. John Fletcher to the position of managing director.

Mr. Fletcher’s career in the Trust field spans over 32 years, 23 of which have been spent offshore. He joins the Appleby Trust team having previously held positions at Scotiabank & Trust (Cayman) Ltd as Manager of Group Fiduciary Services and Swiss Bank & Trust Corporation (Cayman) Limited as Manager of the Trust Department, states a press release.

He has experience in all types of Trust, corporate and private banking structures and products offered by the principal offshore jurisdictions worldwide, for both private and institutional clients.

Mr. Fletcher is a council member of the Cayman Islands branch of STEP, an Associate of the Institute of Bankers (UK) and has been a notary public in the Cayman Islands since 1989.

Appleby Trust has approximately 75 staff, with offices in Bermuda, the Cayman Islands and Jersey and provides specialized services in the primary areas of trust, estate and company administration services to local and international clients.
