Recently promoted to the Deputy Director International Marketing with the Department of Tourism, Shomari Scott will be acting in the role of the Director of Tourism for Pilar Bush while she is on leave.
Ms Bush is on maternity leave from the end of this month and will not be in a position to attend the Florida Caribbean Cruise Conference which takes place from 31 October to 3 November, noted Permanent Secretary with the Ministry of Tourism Gloria McField-Nixon.
Mrs. McField-Nixon said that it would be standard policy for the director’s deputy to act in her role while she is on leave.
It was not disclosed how long Ms Bush would be on leave for.
