Local radio station, Rooster 101.9 is hosting the largest Dominos Tournament in Cayman on Saturday, 28 October, from 10am at the Lions Centre, a press release said.
On custom designed domino’s tables, over one hundred two-person teams will compete until there is only one grand champion. There are only a total of 128 teams allowed, so participants should register early to guarantee their spot.
First place will walk away with $2,500, Second place is $1,000, Third is $500 and the top placing women’s team will also receive $500.
There will be ample refreshments at the event. There will be a bar stocked with Jacques Scott products, featuring Heineken and Appleton Estate while Treasure Chest Bakery will also have a booth with delicious patties. Proceeds will benefit the North Side Youth Sports Programme.
The entrant’s fee for the tournament is CI$100 per two-person team and pre registration is required. Teams can register at the Rooster 101.9 studios on the second floor of the Crighton Building on Crewe Road during regular business hours (8am to 5pm Monday-Friday). Tournament rules are also available at the Rooster 101.9 studios.
Mental dominos only, no coding will be allowed.
