During the Ministry of District Administration, Planning, Agriculture & Housing’s party on 9 December funds were raised to support the church’s annual Christmas party, held recently for nearly 100 youth, ages 11-18.

Permanent Secretary for the Ministry, Kearney Gomez is an active volunteer with the youth group and was pleased with the donation. ‘I thank all the staff of our departments for their generosity. This shows how easy it is to make a difference in the lives of our youth.’

Anne James, a leader for the group which meets weekly for games, activities and fellowship said: ‘Although we have a lot of fun in our group the main focus is on spiritual development.’

Most of the youth hail from George Town but several come as far as Savannah and West Bay.
