Underwriters empowered at seminar

The seminar held recently at The Marriott proved to be an overwhelming success.

This year’s theme Professional Empowerment, the Way Forward, was chosen because it is the mission of the Life Underwriters Association of Cayman to channel and encourage members to become professionally skilled and qualified.

About 75 per cent of LUAC members are enrolled in professional development courses facilitated through the Association.

Lana Poldervaart LUTCF, president of LUAC said, ‘Response to the seminar was very encouraging with a positive turnout. All who attended were impressed by the manner in which the seminar was conducted and expressed their satisfaction. The informed and intelligent contribution made by key guest speaker Mr. Rudolf Jackson Bsc,CLU,ChFC, President of the Caribbean Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors and other key speakers was excellent.’

The unanimous response from all attendees was that the seminar was extremely beneficial and not only offered new insights for personal development but that it would contribute to greater success in their chosen career.

Many said it was the best and most constructive seminar yet and reflected a coming of age of the association in being instrumental in assisting its members to reach new heights of professionalism.

This annual event is designed to motivate members and heighten their responsibilities as insurance agents and financial advisors from a statutory, ethical and social standpoint.

Everyone concerned is already looking ahead to next year’s seminar with eager anticipation.
