Book lovers in Bodden Town will soon benefit from the return of library services in the district as facilities continue to be restored post-Ivan.
According to Director of Public Libraries, Benedicta Conolly, they are still in the process of restocking the library with new materials.
‘We are hoping that we will be able to open the facilities by the end of the month,’ she said, adding that has yet to be confirmed by the Ministry.
‘Public Works Department has finished with renovations on the building,’ she said.
The grounds have also been landscaped and a new blacktopped parking area added. The revamped facility includes new wing a learning centre/activity room.
The library also has a new roof which was donated by Watler of Watler Metal Products.
