Cuffy fast in USA

Tyrell Cuffy wasted no time in making his presence known on the King College indoor track squad.In his first ever indoor appearance, at East Tennessee State University, Tyrell won his heat, the 16th of 25 in that event, in a time of 22.30 seconds, finishing 21st of a total of 118 competitors.

But the best was yet to come, as he helped his 4x 400 meter relay teammates to a school record and a qualifying standard for the NAIA Indoor National Championships in March, as the Tornado foursome clocked 3:18.57.

At the University of Illinois, Carlos Morgan completed a sweep by Middle Tennessee State University in the men’s 60 meter dash with a third place finish in the prelims at 6.96 seconds, and then posting a 6.98 in the final.He also finished second in the long jump at 7.32m/24′ 1/4″, half an inch behind teammate Juan Walker.

At the Diet Pepsi Invitational at the University of Florida, Ronald Forbes of Florida International University ran the 200 meter dash in 22.54 seconds, and also had a time of 7.60 seconds for the 55 meter hurdles in the prelims, and then improved to 7.50 in the final.
