Cayman’s charm is slipping

My wife and I have travelled to Grand Cayman many times over the past 20-plus years and visited Cuba last year.

Prices are, obviously, quite different as are services.

However, we found the Cuban people to be universally friendly and wanting us to help them become free of the tyranny they have suffered for so long.

Cuba, in our viewpoint, will become a formidable tourist destination with its uncrowded beaches, terrific people and a developing infrastructure.

We have noticed for years that Cayman, although still our favourite, has lost some of its ‘the islands that time forgot’ charm and would be well served to look at its wonderful heritage.
