Law book republished

New copies of the second edition of Conveyancing Law and Practice in the Cayman Islands have arrived on Grand Cayman.

The book deals with the process by which land is transferred.

It was originally conceived as a tailor-made manual for students on the Cayman Islands Law School’s Professional Practice Course, primarily to meet the needs of law students and trainee attorneys in Cayman. As the book describes local practice, narrating the application of statutory provisions and decisions of the Cayman courts, Mr. Simon Cooper said the book has also been popular in the wider legal community, states a press release.

‘We ran out of copies of the first edition very quickly. I hadn’t expected such a demand for a technical legal work,’ he said.

The book, which focuses entirely on Cayman legal practice, is aimed at developing the understanding of the conveyancing process in the Cayman Islands, and is used at the Law School as the basis for training legal skills in practical scenarios.
