The 4th Annual Krieger Rooster Shootout Fishing tournament brought to you by Island Companies is right around the corner. Registration and party takes place at Guy Harvey’s Island Grill in the Aquaworld Mall, South Church Street on the waterfront downtown George Town, on Wednesday March 14 from 6pm until 8pm. The entry fee is CI$500 and includes a 4 man crew, Captain and up to three anglers, all of whom are eligible to fish.
Fishing dates for the Krieger Rooster Shootout are Friday through Sunday, March 16th, 17th, and 18th. This year the weigh station will be held at a new location, at the Grand Harbour Dock, from 4PM until 6PM each evening.
On Friday March 16 the Bimini start heads off from the south side of George Town Harbour at 08:30am, with Scott Marine leading the way. A Bimini start is similar to a shotgun start. Participating boats race to the open sea to drop their lines and begin the tournament. The Bimini start is one of the new prize categories this year. There is a US$500 cash prize for the heaviest fish caught by a vessel participating in the Bimini start.
