A number of drivers were caught flouting the traffic law Monday during an operation carried out by the RCIPS Traffic Management Unit.
Officers stop-checked a number of vehicles on the West Bay Road near the Courtyard Marriott between 9.30am and 10.30am. The operation resulted in the following:
• 11 people were found not to be wearing their seatbelts
• Four people were driving with expired coupons
• One vehicle was travelling with an unsafe load

The RCIPS is working hard to improve road safety in the Cayman Islands and part of this effort includes ensuring drivers are complying with the traffic law. Operations such as this will continue to make sure motorists are being as safe as they possibly can on the roads.
