The Trade and Business Licensing Board Secretariat reminds the public that a processing fee of $200 will now be charged for all Local Companies (Control) License applications.
This fee came into effect on 1 January.
Also, in accordance with the provisions of The Local Companies (Control) (Amendment) Law 2006, the new annual license fee for Local Companies (Control) Licenses is $2,500. This fee must be paid on or before 31 January of every year.
Any licensed-company owner who fails to pay the above fee, and continues to carry on business beyond the 31 January of each year, is guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction to a fine of $40 for each month during which such fee remains unpaid.
