Minister for Tourism Charles Clifford has said he knows nothing about rumours that there have been discussions with Anheuser-Busch on buying the government-owned Boatswain’s Beach.
Minister Clifford told the Caymanian Compass last week that this could not be happening because the board of directors would need to be involved and no such representation had been made to them.
The Caymanian Compass approached Minister Clifford on the subject because of circulating rumours.
Anheuser-Busch owns Busch-Gardens entertainment parks and brews more than 60 varieties of beer and alcohol beverages, including Budweiser beer, along with running many other business operations.
