Waterford Alex Alexander Championship final Friday

This Friday at 5:20pm the Waterford Alex Alexander Championship will be decided when the Cayman Storm take on the Don fosters dive Iguanas. The winner will walk away with the 2007 season Championship and Alex Alexander Cup. The Cayman Storm currently sit on top of the table with the Iguanas sitting in second place. The two teams are too far clear of the chasing pack and the whole championship has come down to this clash of the teams at the end of the season to decide the final placing in the League.

The Championship continues as the final league placements are all important to see who will play who in the upcoming Waterford Knock out Cup competition that takes place during the week of May 21st – 26th. The bottom placed team is eliminated and then on semi final one on May 22nd the first placed teams play the fourth placed team and in the second semi final on Thursday 24th the 2nd place plays third place. The two winners meet in the Waterford Cup final on May 26th. A huge day with family entertainment, all u can eat food extravaganza is planned with the proceeds going to the Cancer society on behalf of Alex Alexander for who the tournament is named.

On Saturday May 12th leg 2 of the Cable & Wireless summer sevens series commences. The day is hosted by South Africa and matches are scheduled to commence at 3pm with the finals at 6:30 pm. Nine teams will continue to strive to win the 5 leg series. Currently the Cable & Wireless VII lead the tournament with 5 points after the first leg held in February.
