Representatives of Caribbean Utilities Company, Fortis Bank and BrightStaff recently presented sponsorship cheques to the Cayman Islands Society of Human Resource Professionals in support of their upcoming conference, scheduled today.
Themed Making Cayman a Great Place to Work, the conference will explore what organisations and HR practitioners in particular can do to become an employer of choice.
In a press release, Society Vice President Mr Phil Jackson said: ‘We will be looking at what organisations can do to attract, motivate, and retain top talent. The conference will focus on best practice and on how to create a great culture that keeps morale high and makes business more effective.’
Local speakers at the conference will include JD Buckley from Digicel, Dr. Hasan Syed from University College of the Cayman Islands, and Shannon Seymour from the Wellness Centre.
Overseas speakers will include Marco Nozicka, former Head of People Development at First Caribbean Bank in Barbados, and Dennis Brown, co-founder of Skill Soft.
