Kiwanis boosts literacy

Ruud Van Der Pluijm, Treasurer and President Elect of the Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman, recently handed over a cheque for CI$1,000 to Savannah Primary School. The money will be used for purchasing new books for the library.

Both the Principal, Mrs. Blackman and the Enrichment Teacher, Ms. Peart, were delighted with the donation and expressed their gratitude to Kiwanis.

Kiwanians, in association with the George Town Library and Hobbies and Books, have recently held read aloud sessions for kids from ages two to eight.

The Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman has been recognized as a service club in the Cayman Islands for the past 30 years, serving the community with its main concern ‘Children Priority One’.
