Boogie Nights will be held one week early this month, on Friday, 20 July.
The monthly old school dance party, held at The Wharf, has become a mainstay on the entertainment calendar.
Usually held the last Friday of the month, organisers became concerned when it was announced the Summerfest concert – featuring renowned international reggae artist Shaggy – was also planned for the same date, Friday, 27 July.
‘Boogie Nights has become so popular, we didn’t want to have to make people choose. By holding Boogie Nights one week earlier it means partygoers get to go to both events.’
DJ Caz, from Kiss FM, will be spinning an eclectic mix of music from the 1970s and 80s on the night. The event will be held from 9.30pm to 2am.
