The Caribbean’s premier DJ competition is back, destined to be bigger and better than ever, said a press release.
Caymans top DJs will be vying for the title of Heineken Green Synergy Mastermixer 2007 at the competition, which kicks off on Friday, 12 August.
The event, at the Lions Centre, will see 12 of Caymans finest DJs compete for a place in the next round.
Nine of these competitors will advance to the second round on Friday, 17 August at the Mango Tree. The top six will advance to the final, which will be held at The Heineken Arena, on the Jacques Scott property.
Competition is set to be fierce this year, as Cayman hosts the Northern Caribbean Finals on Friday, 7 September. The top DJs from Bermuda, Belize and last years Caribbean champions Bahamas, will be descending on Cayman to compete for two spots in the finals, which will be held in Jamaica at the end of September. The event will be filmed and broadcast on the music channel Tempo.
This year, the public will be able to vote for their favourite DJs via text message, courtesy of Digicel. Log on to heinekengreensynergy.com or partysurfers.ky for more information
