Dr. Luigi Meneghini of the Diabetes Research Institute in Miami will give seminars on the latest advances in diabetes treatment and patient care this week.
Dr. Meneghini’s seminar is titled ‘Practical Tools for Glycemic Control in Type 2 Diabetes for Professionals: Introducing Basal/Bolus Insulin Therapy’. The presentation will include a review of both an inpatient and outpatient case study.
The seminars will be held on Thursday at 4:30pm at the Cayman Islands Hospital, Public Health/Women’s Reception Room for the Health Services Authority’s medical and health community; and on Friday at 3:30pm at the Ritz-Carlton’s Rembro Meeting Room. All professionals from Cayman’s medical and health community are invited to attend.
Dr. Meneghini will also make a short presentation at the next meeting of the Diabetic Support Group, set for Thursday at 5.30pm at the Cayman Islands Hospital Public Health/Women’s Health Reception Room.
The seminar is being made by possible through the financial support of the Health Insurance Commission, the national health insurance company CINICO and private gifts, and is being supported by the Cayman Islands Medical and Dental Society and Cayman’s hospitals and clinics.
