An operation carried out in West Bay resulted in 21 motorists being prosecuted for not wearing their seat belts.
Operation Safe Driver was conducted yesterday Monday on Town Hall Road. In addition to the seatbelt offences, one person was caught using a vehicle with an expired registration.
‘The RCIPS is working hard to improve road safety in the Cayman Islands and part of this effort includes ensuring drivers are complying with the traffic law,’ said Area Commander Chief Inspector Angelique Howell. ‘Operations such as this will continue to make sure motorists are being as safe as they possibly can on the roads.’
