Baker Tilly goes independent

Baker Tilly (Cayman) Ltd. has become an independent member of Baker Tilly International, one of the world’s top 10 accountancy and business services networks.

Effective 1 October, Baker Tilly (Cayman) Ltd. joined more than 126 independent member firms in over 93 countries worldwide.

‘The primary focus of the practice will be to audit mutual funds and captive insurance companies registered with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority. Our goal is to build the firm from within, starting with the fund and captive insurance practice groups and subsequently growing additional services,’ Ben Leung, Managing Director at Baker Tilly (Cayman) Ltd., said in a press release.

Baker Tilly International is a network of high quality, independent accountancy and business services firms. The company is the eighth largest accountancy and business services in the world by combined fee income of its independent members.

It has a combined fee income of $2.3 billion and 22,000 personnel worldwide. Its members specialise in providing accountancy and business services to entrepreneurial, growing businesses and mid-market listed corporations worldwide.
