It is going to be a very merry Christmas for the Central Caribbean Marine Institute thanks to the generous pledge towards Festival of Trees made by Ristorante Pappagallo.
The 30 November annual event will be underwritten entirely by the popular West Bay restaurant, said a press release.
‘There is so much that needs to be done to help save our coral reefs and Ristorante Pappagallo is happy to contribute to do our part to raise much needed funds’, commented Vico Testori, owner of Ristorante Pappagallo, ‘CCMI is very active with their research, education and outreach to the community and we support all the efforts and certainly all the results that we are seeing’.
The annual Festival of Trees on Friday, 30 November, 2007 is now in its third year and designed to be a cheerful, fun and festive event to kick off the holiday season.
Festival of Trees includes a display of beautifully decorated Christmas trees and holiday wreaths filled with gift packages. The evening includes champagne reception, dinner and wine, and a live auction of the Christmas trees and wreaths. All money raised will benefit CCMI, Cayman’s only conservation organisation with a mission of sustaining the biodiversity of our coral reefs through research and education.
Only a few tickets remain for the 2007 Festival of Trees. Tickets are CI$125 per person and can be reserved by emailing [email protected] or calling 916-8335.
