Caymanian Jeffery Miller is the newest Captain at Cayman Airways.
Captain Miller joined Cayman Airways in 1982 out of high school. Over the years he has worked at the ticket counter, flight operations, city ticket office and in accounts, said a CAL press release.
Captain Miller obtained his pilot license in 1989 and, after a brief spell with Island Air, rejoined Cayman Airways in March 1996.
Captain Miller recalls that he was always interested in flying and credits his elder brother Captain Rex Miller as an influence when he was growing up.
‘So far the experience has been very good. Cayman Airways has good routes, good people and well maintained airplanes. There is a camaraderie among the flight crews as we are a small company and there is an element of national pride as I represent Cayman Airways with the public,’ he said.
Chief Executive Officer at Cayman Airways Patrick Strasburger said, ‘we are very proud of the achievements of Captain Miller and we wish him the very best. Cayman Airways continues to invest in the training and development of Caymanians across the company.’
