Ignition hosts Dell Day Thursday

Ignition Cayman Ltd. (www.ignition.ky), an offshore IT services provider, is an authorized Dell stocking dealer in the Cayman Islands.

To introduce its new partnership, Ignition will host Dell Day, a series of educational seminars and product showcase for businesses displaying all the computer giant has to offer. The event will also feature information on Ignition’s world class after-sales service and support it provides to more than 6,500 users. Dell Day is open to business users and will be held at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort Thursday from 9am until 5.30pm.

Dell Day will include the following seminars:

• 9.30-10.30am – Simplify your IT: the Dell Path to Innovation and Growth: Dell Account Executive Sidney Policard will explain how enterprises of all sizes can overcome the ever-increasing complexity of IT. By helping simplify and streamline the requirements for ongoing operations and systems maintenance, the Dell IT approach enables organizations to reclaim the time, money, and personnel needed to turn innovation into a daily business practice.

•11am-noon – Discover the Operational Efficiencies of Dell Virtualization: Dell Systems Consultant Gregory Moya will clarify how virtualization technology simplifies server operations and allows businesses to run multiple applications and operating systems independently on a single server. Thus, administrators can quickly move workloads from one virtual workspace to another – easily prioritizing business needs while maximizing server resources.

• 1.30-2.30pm – Control the Costs of Back Up, Recovery, Archiving with DellL/EMC:

EMC Systems Consultant Paul Mayne will provide information on how the Dell/EMC Back Up, Recovery and Archiving solution can minimize risk, improve data protection, and control costs of information retention with tiered protection and storage, automated storage and disposal, and a unified, cross-enterprise content platform.

• 3-4pm – Protect Your Business With Document Scanning and Management Solutions:

Charity Canaday-Rodgers of ColumbiaSoft will detail the benefits of ColumbiaSoft’s document management solution, which provides businesses with an affordable and comprehensive way to record and manage all their company documents digitally and securely, and protect the company from the risk of losing valuable company information in a natural disaster.

At the conclusion of each seminar, presenters will answer any queries attendees may have. Throughout the day, Dell Day attendees will also have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with technology specialists and view the latest Dell technologies. Additionally, Ignition will offer special Dell Day discounts on Dell products.

Graham Pearson, president and CEO of Ignition, said, ‘Ignition’s success is built around leading-edge products and the highest quality service. The Dell partnership allows Ignition to provide our clients with a complete solution from a single vendor. We are committed to Dell and will invest heavily to ensure our clients in Cayman receive the highest service levels including round the clock support and local inventory.

‘Dell has long depended on direct sales channels to sell its computers, but recently the company branched out to sell through leading IT service providers such as Ignition. This strategy is showing results, helping extend Dell’s lead over Hewlett-Packard as the largest PC vendor in the United States for the fourth quarter of 2007, according to figures from analyst firms Gartner and IDC. The new partnership will enable Ignition’s clients to have quick access the latest Dell technology along with Ignition’s expertise and after-sales solutions.’

Dell Day is free for all businesses to attend and guests will be treated to complimentary morning tea at 10.30am, lunch at noon and a cocktail hour at 4.30pm. To RSVP for the event, call 815-0369 or contact [email protected].
