On Sunday, 24 February, the Kiwanis Club of Grand Cayman will be organising its 2nd Annual Human Society Dog Walk. Last year there were more than 100 participants.
Funds raised from this event will help the Kiwanis Club purchase its mobile library by offering a service that will assist underprivileged children and shut-Ins throughout the different districts of the Cayman Islands and 40 per cent of the funds raised will be donated to the Human Society.
Participants will have the choice of walking the 2.5K or the 5K route and will receive complimentary water provided by Le Bleu and dog ribbons plus prizes and snacks for you and your dog.
The walk begins at 7am and the registration fee is $15 per participant. You can register the day of the event at 6.30 am or register in advance by contacting [email protected] or 947-9956. More information can be obtained from the website at www.kiwanis.ky. The starting location of the Dyke roads is the next road north (toward West Bay) of Yacht Club Drive off of West Bay Road north of the Marriott Court Yard Hotel. Look for the Kiwanis banner.
Bring your four-footed friend for a stroll along the dyke roads in West Bay and help support the Human Society and other Kiwanis Community Projects.
