Hoop dreams return

Local youth are set to rip the nets once again this weekend.

The second week of the newly-launched U15 basketball league continues tomorrow. Eight teams will be in action over a span of eight games starting from 5pm.

In the Boys League, the top two teams will collide as Warriors face front-runners 345 Ballers at 6pm. In the second game of the evening, Ball-aholics will look to get their first win of the season as they challenge quick shooting Alex Ebanks and the Assassins at 8pm.

In the Girls League, Comets take on Sparks at 5pm with both teams looking to rebound after disappointing losses last Saturday. In game two, two of the league’s top scorers will be in action as Shana Linwood and the Monarchs take on Latorae Nixon and the Mystics at 7pm.

All matches will be played at the Digicel Court on Eastern Avenue.

All games are open to the public and the Cayman Islands Basketball Association urges everyone to come out and show their support for Cayman’s youth.
