The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service is warning all those with outstanding court fines to pay up immediately or they could face arrest.
At the moment, thousands of dollars are owed to the courts by people who have not paid their punishment. Officers have been working hard to recover outstanding court fines, bring those to justice who have failed to show up at hearings and stress the importance of upholding court orders.
During a one day operation in West Bay in February, 15 people with outstanding warrants for failing to appear in court or pay fines were arrested. This action will be ongoing across the Island with an increased intensity as the RCIPS strives to bring people before the court.
