The deal will come into effect this year. The company is the title sponsor of the 2008 tournament on 24-25 May at the North Sound Club.

In a press release by the Cayman Islands Golf Association, NCB Homes stated its eagerness to support local golf.

‘NCB is very proud to be a supporter of this prestigious annual event and the development of golf generally in the Cayman Islands,’ says Matthew Wight, director of operations at NCB Homes.

‘Through this three year commitment we are excited about exploring the opportunities there are for CIGA and golf generally here in Cayman. We are glad to start the ball rolling.’

The CIGA also wished to restate the parameters around the championships. All golfers will be eligible to compete at all handicap levels. Those who do not want to play in the championship flight are encouraged to enter the ladies or men’s ‘A’ flight. This is played from the blue tees (men) and red tees (ladies).

Handicaps from 0-24 for men and 0-30 for ladies are welcome.

The entry fee for the tournament is $50 for CIGA members and $100 for non-members. Cart fees for both days are payable directly to the North Sound Club.
