Donation is the cat’s whiskers

The Cayman Islands Humane Society was delighted to receive a cheque for CI$130 presented by representatives from Cayman Prep and High School, Kai-Leigh Haughton, Joshua Martin, Maxwell Johnson, Alyssa McLaughlin, Madelynne Bowyer and Catharine Boyd-Moss.

Under the guidance of the schools Head of Primary Music, Catharine Boyd-Moss, a total of 87 dancers in colourful cat make-up and costumes, took to the stage to perform a beautifully choreographed dance show entitled ‘Everybody Wants to be a Cat’.

After three successful evening public performances, the dancers, aged six to 46, presented the show to Cayman Prep and High School pupils who were encouraged to make a donation towards the cat section of Humane Society Animal Shelter.

‘This is a wonderful example of how much fun fundraising can be, we always need donations such as these to keep our cats fed, comfortable and equipped with toys and medication, this will go a long way in helping us’ said Shelter Manager Sugar Evans.
