Students shine at Talent Extravaganza

Bodden Town Primary School students celebrated Child’s Month with a night of youthful entertainment at the Mary Miller Memorial Hall Wednesday night.

We are the World, We are the Children closed the curtains on a successful night of Talent Extravaganza put on by students and teachers.

The show featured themes from Michael Jackson’s hit album Thriller by Year 5 students to the Rhinestone Cowboys by the infant department.

The charming display of dance, song and performances from the children also highlighted sign language to the theme song I am Blessed, drummers Donna Tull-Cox and Damien Thaxter, a fashion show, salsa, tumblers, mye dog/rags, and students dressed like sunflowers dancing to the beat of soca music.

Watching the children perform left no doubt that Government’s primary schools are nourishing budding talents, and given the opportunity to blossom these students will end up as Cayman stars.

The concert was supported by the Bodden Town Action committee, National Parenting Programme, Book Nook, Jernat Heavy Equipment, Renaissance, Cable and Wireless, Reef, Westin and Kirk Freeport.
