Drive-by shooting in George Town

A 29-year-old man was hospitalised after he was shot outside a George Town home in the early morning hours Saturday.

A Royal Cayman Islands Police Service report stated that bullets struck the man’s hand and arm. Witnesses said the shots appeared to come from a car that was driving by on School Road just off Eastern Avenue.

The man was taken to hospital where he was treated for his injuries and later released.

Armed officers were called in to search the area just after the shooting, which was reported around 3.30am Saturday. However, no arrests had been made in the case as of press time.
