Rotary donates to Pines

Rotary Central has supported The Pines Retirement Home for over 20 years and has made another donation of $10,000 towards the expansion and restoration of the existing building in George Town.

On 3 June Rotary Central President Sandy McFarlane and Community Service Director Ken Guiste presented Julian ReadyHoff, chairman of The Pines board, with the cheque that will go toward one of their three needs – need for an environment suited to the care needs of the residents, need for increased space and need for a safe and secure environment.

‘The Pines Retirement Home provides an important service to the Cayman Islands community and our senior citizens deserves the special care and dignity to live their lives peacefully in this care-giving environment,’ said Ms McFarlane.

Mr. Guiste stated that ‘Rotary is all about service above self and we must all focus on serving those unable to help themselves donations to The Pines makes a difference to so many elderly residents.’
