Barnes Dance Academy was recently the recipients of US$1,000 from Cayman law firm Priestleys.
Priestleys stepped forward with the much needed funds to assist the juniors and senior dance team to compete in Celebrity Nationals at Sea, dance competition to be held on board Majesty of the Seas, 13-18 July.
Priestleys spokesperson said ‘it is their belief that this exposure will do the children well and that all law firms in our islands should support this worthy cause in a similar way’.
Susan Barnes of Dance Academy said she is thrilled that the children are enthusiastic and eager to put in the work necessary to reach their goals.
‘In order for the teams to compete we still need to raise more funds for the competition. We have embarked on a number of fundraisers but still need the public’s help with donations.’
Those wishing to make donations can contact Cindy Ruiz at 327-1643.
