Boy arrested in ganja bust

A 14-year-old boy was one of two people arrested during a seizure of 12 ganja plants following a Royal Cayman Islands Police Service operation in West Bay.

Officers from the Drugs Task Force and West Bay police station found the plants during a search of land on Watercourse Road. A 42-year-old man and the teenager were arrested on suspicion of cultivating ganja and possession of utensils used in the consumption of illegal drugs.

Both have been released on bail pending further investigation.
