HSA hosts next BAH

The next Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event will be hosted on Thursday, 17 July, at 5.30pm by the Health Services Authority at the Cayman Islands Hospital.

Chamber members and guests are invited to visit the recently renovated conference centre and cafeteria for an official unveiling ceremony.

Following Hurricane Ivan, the existing building and interior fixtures needed major renovations, and the HSA took advantage of the opportunity to create a practical, multipurpose space for large or small meetings, conferences and training.

Acting Chief Executive Officer Mrs. Lizzette Yearwood explains, ‘we are so pleased with the completed project, we decided to host a Business After Hours to showcase the new facilities. We are inviting businesses and associations to contact us regarding hosting their own events and conferences here.’

The building, which consists of several individual rooms, is equipped with state-of-the-art amenities including comfortable, attractive furnishings, ceiling-mounted projectors and flat screen televisions. The largest of the rooms can be divided into 3 smaller spaces using retractable temporary walls. The cafeteria has also been modernised which will be able to provide catering or accommodate caterers, for any event. An added bonus is the large parking lot adjacent to the building, accessible from behind the Cayman Islands Hospital.

The HSA will also use the Business After Hours to launch a new foundation, for which it is seeking corporate partnership.

Members and guests are asked to use the hospital’s entrance off Smith Road and Anthony Drive for parking. Complimentary refreshments and great prizes will be available.
