Fun Run’s popularity can match Beijing

With all the Olympic excitement spreading throughout the Caribbean, it seems appropriate that Fidelity’s annual Fun Run series comes so soon after the Games.

Whether you are an experienced athlete, a parent looking to spend some quality fun time outdoors with the family; or need some motivation to hit the pavement – the Fidelity Fun Run series provides the perfect opportunity for runners of all ages and skill levels to enjoy a morning run.

Fidelity’s Fun Run series consists of three consecutive weekend races.

The first race is on Saturday, 13 September, the second the following Saturday and the third and final race on September 27.

The three races cover a two mile course and begin in front of John Gray High School. Registration for the run begins at 6:30am each Saturday, with the race starting at 7:30am.

The ten fastest male and female participants from each age group will receive points at the end of each race.

At the end of the series the three female and male participants who have earned the most points from their respective groups will receive awards. Awards will also be presented to the three stroller pushers who accumulate the most points.

Entry fees are $5 per race, or $15 for the complete series, and include event shirts and refreshments. Participants will be divided into age groups of Under-12, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60-plus.

The Fun Run is organized by Phoenix Athletic Club and is sponsored by Fidelity Bank (Cayman) Ltd.
