A small craft warning remains in effect today as the Cayman Islands is expecting fresh north to northeast winds blowing from 20 to 25 knots.
Residents and visitors can expect cloudy skies and rain today with rough wave heights of five to seven feet.
The weather is expected to continue through the week, with rougher waves along the north and east coasts on Thursday night.
Weather charts on Monday were indicating a stationary front east of the Cayman area.
Further north, a high pressure system over the central United States will continue to support fresh northerly winds and rough seas.
