The windy conditions the Turtle Triathlon athletes had to endure on Sunday made an already difficult event extra tough. The main sponsors were Butterfield Bank who deserve credit for putting on a such a marvellous event despite the weather problems. Organisers Polly Cox and Larry Walters – who competed – have a lot to be proud of.
Many sailed through the disciplines of swim, bike and run though.
The top male amateur was Marius Acker who successfully defended the title he won last year.
Second was Jasper Mikkelsen and top amateur woman was Marlene West followed by Justine Plenkiewicz. Full round up in tomorrow’s paper.
