Triple C’s annual ‘Fun in the Sun’ 5K Walk/Run will take place on Saturday, December 6, at 7am from Seven Mile Public Beach.
The 5k walk will take walkers to the new Foster’s Food Fair in West Bay.
Walking for fitness and for dollars, students, parents and friends will walk or run on the beach or on the road to raise at least $20,000 to support the budget for textbooks, special equipment, materials and supplies and to win great prizes.
Classes will compete for a class party and individual students will compete for great prizes.
There will also be lots of prizes which will be drawn to reward both registered walkers and sponsored walkers.
Refreshments will be provided and there will be manned water-stops along the route.
There will be a sandcastle building competition and other fun activities.
A barbecue to raise money for the Band and Choir Trip to the ACSI Festival in North Carolina next April will take place from 10am noon.
Everyone is invited-not just Triple C families. Registration is $20 and includes a T-shirt for the first 100 walkers.
