Victoria Bise’s Christmas toy drive recently received support from Governor Sturat Jack.
Mr. Jack presented four iPod nanos, a telescope, and two doll sets to Victoria for her 25 Days of Christmas toy drive. The gifts were donated by the Governor and his staff.
‘We decided to support Victoria’s cause this year because we believe she’s setting a stellar example for her peers,’ said Mr. Jack.
‘At Christmastime most children are concerned with the number of gifts they’ll be collecting. Instead she’s collecting gifts so that others, who may not be receiving gifts, can experience the joy of opening their own presents, too.’
Victoria will donate all collected gifts to the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre, and to children at the Health Services Authority Paediatric Ward.
On Christmas Eve, after the gifts have been presented, she also plans to read Christmas stories from her own collection to the children recovering at the hospital.
Other companies or individuals interested in donating to Victoria’s 25 Days of Christmas toy drive can drop off unwrapped gifts at Little Darlings or Caribbean Network Solutions.
The deadline for gifts has been extended to 23 December.
