CGMJ Ltd. responds

We write concerning the article that appeared in the Caymanian Compass on 7 January 2009, under the headline ‘McAlpine sued for $4.18M.

While the primary focus of this article was the lawsuit issued by Androgroup Ltd. against McAlpine Ltd. for a debt allegedly owed to it, statements were published relating to CGMJ Ltd trading as Chalmers Gibbs Architects (‘CGMJ’), repeating the allegations in the Statement of Claim that assert negligence on CGMJ’s part.

CGMJ deny allegations in the Statement of Claim and would seek to defend themselves against false allegations if it were not for the fact that they are not party to the action and therefore presently have no opportunity for defense within the context of these proceedings.

Our company has a history of over 40 years of successful practice in the Cayman Islands. We hope that once this case is determined or settled, the record will show our company performed its duties to the highest professional standards.
