The sentencing of Christopher Kelvin Ebanks was adjourned last week after Justice Ingrid Mangatal was advised that a social inquiry report was not ready.
The judge had ordered the report after finding Ebanks guilty of the 2007 robbery at Chisholm’s Supermarket in North Side and possession of an imitation firearm to commit the offence.
Ebanks, 21, is already serving a 10 year sentence over a 2007 armed robbery in West Bay. He now faces a life sentence under a section of the Penal Code that gives judges the option of imposing the maximum term if someone is convicted of a second indictable offence.
The judge said she will be returning to the jurisdiction next month and set sentencing for 20 March.
