A Cayman Airways cargo plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Owen Roberts International Airport Wednesday afternoon.
The mid-size CAL Convair cargo plane, which was heading to Grand Cayman from Florida, landed safely after the plane’s crew reported possible problems with the craft’s landing gear. A full emergency landing was declared and fire crews and ambulances stood by as the plane touched down just after 2.50pm. There were two crew members on board the plane.
