Several local artists performed, with the best act receiving a record deal with Big Ship records in Jamaica.

Performers/contestants in the event included Big J, Stuart Wilson, Jah Shawn, Glamaton, Mikey Spade, Excellent Medley and Jamesette Anglin.

After numerous riveting performances, which included a massive entrance on motorcycles by Big J and his entourage, the crowd was asked to choose their favourite performer of the night.

When the dust settled it was Jamesette Anglin who walked away with the coveted one song record deal with the Jamaican label made famous by the son of reggae great Freddie McGregor.

The songstress says she is poised to continue to make strides in her musical endeavours and represent all of Cayman at an international level. ‘I am ready for the work and dedication necessary to be successful in this profession,’ she said.

When the headliners took to the stage, the packed crowd roared. Beenie Man, Lovindeer, Biggie Irie and Peter Ram put on a fantastic show for all in attendance.
