Boys did their best

There were many positive performances by the Cayman Islands Under-15 team which competed in the ICC Americas Central Division tournament held in Nassau, Bahamas from 6-12 August.

Playing four matches Cayman Islands placed second to champions Bahamas. Cayman won two matches and lost two.

Technical director Theo Cuffy said: ‘Although all the players had their moments of success most outstanding performances came from Edward Bodden and Matthew Suberan both winning Man of the Match awards in the two matches against Belize.

‘Other significant contributions came from Santangelo Bush, Paul Laidlaw and Joeniel Bent.

‘The cricket association wishes to thank coaches Benjamin Maynard and Richard Hew who prepared the players and coach Kirkpatrick Clarke and manager Wayne Cato who accompanied the team.’
