The Miss Teen contestants, along with the current Miss Teen Jamie Rogers and members of the Leo Club, went on an island tour last Saturday, 15 August.
Places visited on the tour included Boatswain’s Beach, Pedro St. James and the Bodden Town Pirates Cave.
The purpose of the Island-wide tour was to re-emphasise the culture and the history of the Cayman Islands to the Miss Teen contestants. The chosen winner of the title will be an ambassador of the Islands and will be able to represent tourism locally, regionally and internationally so it is important that the applicants are aware of Cayman’s culture.
The Miss Teen pageant will be held Saturday, 29 August at the Lions Centre from 6.30pm.
Tickets can be purchased at the locations of Reflections, Funky Tangs, LIME in Anderson Square and Galleria. Tickets are $20 pre-sold and $30 at the gate. Tickets for children aged 6-12 are $15 pre-sold and $20 at the gate. Children aged five and under are free.
